The government of Romania has approved an Emergency Ordinance that will reorganise a number of public institutions and agencies focused on environment, water and forests, in order to establish a new National Agency for Environment and Protected Areas.

Greece's Ministry for Environment and Energy announced last Friday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Hellenic Scout Corps (SEP) on joint initiatives related to the protection, sustainable management and restoration of the forest environment.
