Gas transmission system operators of Romania, Moldova and Ukraine have launched public consultations on an expansion of the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline’s reverse capacity within the framework of the incremental capacity procedure.

General Director of the Gas Transmission Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU) on Wednesday suggested creating a guaranteed capacity along the entire length of the Trans-Balkan route for the gas pipeline’s operation in reverse mode.

By increasing the volume of natural gas measurement between Ukraine and Moldova, the GTSOU fulfilled all the prerequisites for transporting gas through the Trans-Balkan corridor.
