Gas prices for Ukrainian households will remain unchanged, according to Naftogaz CEO Oleksiy Chernyshov.

In a joint letter, EUEA and UWEA have emphasised that Ukrainian regulator's draft decision on price caps would lead to negative consequences for the renewables sector and the market as a whole.

Between 26 April and the end of May this year, Naftogaz purchased around 400 cubic metres of gas from private Ukrainian producers on the Ukrainian Energy Exchange.

On 10 February, the Ukrainian Cabinet of Minister approved two new legislative proposals related to the country's regulatory framework for renewable energy sources industry (RES) which have now been registered by the Ukrainian parliament.

On 3 February, the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA) published an open joint letter to the President of Ukraine calling for the government to reaffirm legislative guarantees for the development of the Ukrainian RES industry.

Last week, the Ukrainian President signed new Laws to encourage donation efforts under the Energy Support Fund. Separately, Deputy Minister of Energy for European Integration, Ukrainian urged businesses to participate in tenders for the supply of equipment within the framework of the Fund.
