Poland's Climate and Environment Ministry reported last Tuesday that drilling of a geothermal well with a depth of 1,645 metres has started in Otwock, a city around 23 kilometres southeast of Warsaw. 

Warsaw is implementing a new "Energy Management System" which is expected to save up to 4.25 million euros annually.
