Zelensky visits Nikopol district constantly shelled by Russia

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, which is constantly under Russian fire, and observed the consequences of the enemy's terrorist attacks on Nikopol, Marhanets, and other settlements in the region.

The Head of State was informed about the course of restoration of damaged civilian infrastructure objects and the improvement of their protection against possible new attacks, the President’s Office informs.

As noted, almost 5,000 buildings in the district were destroyed, including healthcare and educational institutions.

Affected citizens are provided with the necessary assistance.

The President’s Office noted that “effective interaction of the regional military administration with local self-government bodies, and effective work of law enforcement agencies” was commended during the visit of the Head of State.

As reported, President Zelensky on Monday visited the frontline positions of Ukrainian troops in Zaporizhzhia region, presented soldiers with state awards, and held a meeting on the situation in the region.
