Occupiers bring immigrants from impoverished regions of Russia to Henichesk

In the Kherson region’s Henichesk, Russian occupiers are driving local residents out of their homes and bringing immigrants from the impoverished regions of Russia there instead.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Russian occupiers continue using the practice of artificial resettlement and forced assimilation of Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied areas of Ukraine. In particular, in the Kherson region’s Henichesk district, the occupiers began to forcefully evict Ukrainian citizens, who have not obtained or refused to obtain Russian citizenship, to Russia, including families with children and the elderly. In their places of residence, the occupiers usually accommodate representatives of national minorities from the impoverished regions of the Russian Federation,” the report states.

In violation of international humanitarian law, Russian invaders continue to seize health infrastructure and children’s health recreation facilities in the temporarily occupied areas.

“In the Zaporizhzhia region’s Berdiansk, the enemy uses one of buildings in a local hospital to accommodate the injured terrorists. In the Donetsk region’s Zuhres, the occupiers have seized the Berezhok recreation base and deploy their military units and equipment there,” the General Staff noted.

A reminder that, between February 24, 2022 and July 14, 2023, Russia’s total combat losses in Ukraine reached about 236,590 troops.
