
Two bodies of civilians killed during Russian occupation found in Mykolaiv region

In the Mykolaiv region, law enforcement officers have discovered two bodies of local residents, who were shot dead by Russian invaders in the Voskresenske community’s village of Stepove during occupation.
The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In cooperation with investigators and forensic experts of the National Police of Ukraine, prosecutors exhumed the bodies of two men, aged 20 and 34. In spring 2022, they were shot dead by Russian soldiers.

Measures are being taken to establish the circumstances and witnesses of the crime. A pre-trial investigation is underway for the violation of the rules and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2, Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
