
Russian strike kills elderly woman, wounds husband in Donetsk region
This was reported by Suspilne Donbas with reference to the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, Ukrinform saw.
"On August 11, at 19:00, Russian troops opened what was tentatively artillery fire at the village of Yelyzavetivka, Marinka community of Pokrovskyi district. A woman, 70, was killed as a result of a projectile hitting a private home, while her husband, 76, suffered a mine-explosive injury and shrapnel injuries," she said.
Rudenko added that the wounded man had been provided medical assistance.
The prosecutor's office initiated a pre-trial investigation into violation of the laws and customs of war (part 2 of article 438 of the Criminal Code).
As reported, Russian invaders injured nine residents of Donetsk region on August 10.
