In Kupyansk direction, the front line has not changed, although the Russian army does not stop its assaults. Mandatory evacuation from part of Kupyansk district is not related to the risk of recapture of the territories but is necessary due to the constant shelling of the civilian population.

"The settlements of Synkivka, Kyslivka, Andriyivka – the enemy continues making its offensive attempts every day. Receives a decent rebuff from the armed forces. The front line is being held, there is no enemy advance in Kharkiv region," Yevhen Ivanov, the deputy head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said during the United News telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Ivanov noted that the mandatory evacuation from part of Kupyansk district was not related to the risk of recapture of the territories but was necessary due to the constant shelling of the civilian population.

He noted that the town of Kupyansk came under artillery and mortar fire, which caused significant destruction, over the past day.

During the day, 111 people, including 36 children and four people with disabilities, were evacuated from Kupyansk district. In total, since August 9, 204 people have been taken to safer places.
