Demining in deoccupied areas to start once security situation allows - official
That’s according to Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, who spoke on the air of the national telethon, Ukrinform reports.
Kyrylenko said that the front line is currently moving through the Urozhaine and Staromaiorske settlements of the Velykі Novosilky community.
"These are all active hostility zones. As soon as the front is pushed back so that the enemy at least can’t use all available weapons, primarily mortars and small arms, stabilization measures will be initiated," the administration chief said.
Firstly, according to Kyrylenko, demining efforts will kick off, and secondly - the territories will be purged of what’s left of the invasion force, the soldiers who might be hiding in the area.
"Then stabilization measures begin, including addressing the needs of the part of the population that remains there. Those people remaining there are subject to evacuation," Kyrylenko said.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, two Russian missiles this morning hit the office of a utility company in Avdiivka, Donetsk region. In the Lyman community, eight Russian strikes were reported in the past 24 hours.
