
Russian army launches 23 attacks on border area in Sumy region

The Russian army on Thursday launched 23 attacks on border villages in Ukraine's northeastern Sumy region, damaging residential buildings, shops, a gas pipeline and a power line.
The Sumy regional military administration said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.
"Throughout the day, the Russians shelled the border area 23 times. Some 138 explosions were recorded. The Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Seredyna-Buda, Svesa and Nova Sloboda communities came under fire," the post read.

The enemy shelled the Krasnopillia community with mortars and artillery, damaging a private house, a garage, a bathhouse, a barn, non-residential buildings, two shops, a car, and a gas pipeline.
The Bilopillia community came under mortar fire. A household and a power line were damaged there.
No damage or destruction was recorded in other communities.
