The IDF revealed that around 400 tunnel shafts have been located and destroyed since the start of war, disclosing operational footage from the Yahalom special forces unit who have taken a significant part in exposing and destroying the tunnel shafts.

Syria claims to have intercepted Israeli attack near Damascus 

The Syrian army announced that it intercepted Israeli missiles fired towards its capital area Damascus. According to the announcement, most of the missiles were intercepted but some caused damage. The Israel Defense Force did not comment.

Syrian state television reported earlier that "Syrian air defenses engaged 'enemy targets' near Damascus." The channel also claimed that several missiles fired from the Golan Heights region towards the capital were intercepted.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) group said the strikes targeted sites belonging to the Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah.

The IDF Chief Spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, revealed on Thursday that two powerful attacks were carried out on two different underground complexes, one of which was used by two senior Hamas terrorists who were hiding, by the names of Ahmed Andor and Ayman Siam.

In another underground complex, senior members of the political wing of Hamas, including Moshehi Moshtaha, Asam Da'les and Sameh al-Sarraj, were hiding.

"Hamas is trying to hide the results of the attack. It can be said with certainty that the underground where they were was very badly damaged," the IDF spokesperson stated.

IDF releases footage of operation on most crowded area since war started

The IDF released footage from the past week, during operational activity north of Al-Shati, the densest area operated in since the beginning of the fighting in Gaza.

"The Commando Brigade coordinated 54 precise strikes from the air, sea and land, during which Hamas terrorists were eliminated and terrorist infrastructure, booby-trapped buildings and tunnel shafts were destroyed," the IDF said in a statement.

"In parallel, the soldiers conducted operational activity at a booby-trapped hotel in the northern Gaza Strip, and found large stockpiles of weapons. The weapons were subsequently destroyed by the IDF," the statement added.

Statement from the IDF Spokesperson: "During a raid carried out by fighters from the 551st Reserve Brigade's combat team, following intelligence information, at the home of a Hamas terrorist who was part of a terrorist organization unit in the Beit Hanun area, several rockets were located inside a bed in a children's room.
