According to Arab reports, the US intercepted three UAVs and a ballistic missile en route to Israel. The fourth UAV, which was not intercepted, landed in Tel Aviv.

The US military announced that overnight it intercepted four aircraft heading for Tel Aviv. Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai wrote on his X account (formerly Twitter): "The Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality is moving to a heightened state of alert in light of the severe drone incident last night, in which one person was killed and others were injured. The war is still here, and it is harsh and painful. Municipal forces arrived at the scene quickly and handled the incident, and we are prepared for further developments if they occur. I urge the public to follow instructions."

The Houthis claimed responsibility for the strike  in several posts on X. Initially, the Houthis' spokesperson tweeted a fire emoji and wrote, "Tel Aviv." Shortly thereafter, a statement was released saying, "We will soon announce a quality military operation," and in a third message, they said they would reveal details about the attack in Tel Aviv.
