Zelensky to Slovenia’s PM: peace plan to be drafted in “near future”

In a phone call with Prime Minister Robert Golob of Slovenia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the plan of the first steps to bring about a just and lasting peace, assuring his counterpart that it would be prepared in the near future.

The Head of State of Ukraine reported this on X, Ukrinform saw.

“I spoke with Slovenia’s Prime Minister Robert Golob to inform him about the leaders’ summit in London and discuss our joint efforts. We are preparing a step by step plan to bring about a just peace that will last. We are working on it quickly, and it will be ready in the near future,” Zelensky said.

He noted that Europe has a shared vision for how the war should end and what security guarantees should be put in place. Europe should be at the table of future negotiations together with Ukraine and the United States, Zelensky stressed.

Also, during the conversation, the implementation of the "Food from Ukraine" initiative was discussed.

" Slovenia is joining our efforts to support the Syrian people. I am grateful for everything Slovenia is doing for Ukraine," the President said.

As Ukrinform reported, earlier today Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone call with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, after which he noted that Europe and Ukraine need not a temporary ceasefire, but for the war to end for good.
