Waltz plans to talk with Ukrainian, Russian counterparts later today
That’s according to his comments to reporters at the White House, Ukrinform wrote with reference to Sky News.
"Shuttle diplomacy is difficult, it's tough. But we are going back and forth at every level driving both sides toward a ceasefire and driving both sides toward the end of this war," Trump's adviser said.
He also commented on the assumption that on Tuesday, the Russian leader left the U.S. president waiting before the call began: “Donald J Trump does not sit and wait for an hour for any head of state.”
As Ukrinform reported earlier, on Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump spoke with Russian leader Vladimir Putin of establishing peace in Ukraine. On Wednesday, he had a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
