ISLAMABAD - Pakistan on Monday offered Azerbaijan investment opportunities in its untapped carbon trading sector during a meeting between Climate Change Minister Musadik Malik and Ambassador Khazar Farhadov to boost bilateral cooperation in environmental and economic areas. During a meeting with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Khazar Farhadov, Climate Change Minister Musadik Malik highlighted investment opportunities in carbon offset projects, particularly in forestry and green energy.

He encouraged Azerbaijani participation in forestry-based carbon credit initiatives and renewable energy ventures.
The minister also outlined opportunities in solar energy, green industrial growth, and joint ventures, positioning Pakistan as an emerging hub for environmentally sustainable development.
“Strategic partnerships in green sectors can yield both financial and ecological benefits. We welcome Azerbaijani stakeholders to become part of this transformation.” Musadik Malik said.
