Islamabad Police hold march to mark Youm-e-Tashakkur

ISLAMABAD  -  Inspector-General Police Is­lamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi Sunday led the force’s march to mark Youm-e-Tashakkur and pay tribute to the armed forces for their decisive response to the Indian aggression. The flag march started from the Sports Complex and culminated at the same point after passing through various sectors of the city. All units of Islamabad Police participated in the march. Islam­abad Police expressed solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces.

The Pakistan Armed Forces have held the nation’s head high with pride throughout the world, said the IG Islamabad in a statement. He said the po­lice stands shoulder to shoul­der with the Pakistan Armed Forces and will never hesitate to make any sacrifice for the protection of the motherland. Meanwhile, Islamabad Police has said that it’s constantly en­gaged in ensuring the security of embassies, ambassadors’ residences, UN offices, and im­portant government proper­ties located in the Diplomatic Enclave. In a statement, it said all government and embassy employees should carry their service cards and cooperate with the police on duty to en­sure the identification process.

According to details, in light of the special orders of Inspec­tor General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Police is constantly engaged in maintaining the law-and-order situation in the federal capi­tal. In this regard, Islamabad Police officers are effectively performing their duties to en­sure the security of embassies, ambassadors’ residences, UN offices, and important govern­ment properties located in the Diplomatic Enclave. SSP Secu­rity Division Muhammad Sar­fraz virk has issued instruc­tions to the police officers on duty, stating that the protec­tion of all government and private offices and embassies located in the high-security zone is of utmost importance. “No negligence or carelessness should be shown during duty.”

The details of people entering the high-security zone should be recorded, and their vehicles and motorcycles should be thoroughly searched. All gov­ernment employees should carry their departmental cards. Cooperate with the police offi­cers on duty in the search and identification process, the po­lice have advised the citizens. Furthermore, IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired a high-level meeting on the over­all law-and-order situation and security arrangements. In the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on the overall law and order situation and security ar­rangements, including various matters related to the better use of technology and the pro­vision of facilities to citizens.

DG Safe City Islamabad Sha­kir Hussain Dawar and AIG Op­erations Muhammad Arsalan Shahzeb also participated in the meeting. On this occasion, IG Islamabad issued instruc­tions to ensure the provision of safe and effective services to the public by strengthen­ing mutual coordination in all divisions. He issued orders to the officers to adopt an effec­tive strategy for maintaining law and order, protecting pri­vate and public property, and preventing crime, as well as to utilize all available resources to ensure the protection of citi­zens’ lives and property.
