Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to peace in South Asia, while firmly asserting that any breach of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity will not be tolerated.
In a meeting with Turkish Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu in Islamabad on Monday, the prime minister highlighted Pakistan’s decision to uphold the ceasefire understanding with India as a reflection of its dedication to regional peace.
During the cordial exchange, Prime Minister Sharif extended heartfelt gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his steadfast support of Pakistan during recent regional tensions. “President Erdogan has once again shown his deep affection and solidarity with the people of Pakistan,” he remarked.
He also thanked Allah Almighty for what he described as a “historic victory” over India, acknowledging the unity and resilience of the Pakistani nation.
Turning to bilateral relations, the prime minister expressed satisfaction over the growing strength of Pakistan-Turkey ties and emphasized the need to promptly implement key decisions made during his recent visit to Ankara.
Ambassador Neziroglu conveyed his congratulations to the prime minister and the Pakistani nation on their diplomatic and military accomplishments, praising Pakistan’s dedication to fostering peace in the region.
