The relevant statement was made by the ministry’s press service, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
One of events was a special workshop on a coordinated response for Ukraine’s transport recovery with the support of the Common Interest Group for Transport in Ukraine (CIG4U). The event was attended by more than 50 representatives of foreign states and international organizations.
Derkach outlined Ukraine’s key priorities and needs in the restoration of road, railway, sea and air transport, and road infrastructure.
“For Ukraine today, more than ever, it is important to work on consolidating support and finding opportunities for recovery. That is why I am grateful to my colleagues from the International Transport Forum for their willingness to jointly attract resources to restore the transport sector and launch innovative projects. We have support for initiatives on traffic safety, training specialists in the transport sector, but it is also important to attract support for projects that will provide tangible and quick results for transport and people,” Derkach emphasized.
According to Secretary-General of the International Transport Forum (ITF) at the OECD Young Tae Kim, supporting Ukraine remains one of the priorities for the organization’s activities. In his words, the ITF is ready to join the ministry’s initiative on involving women in transport professions.
Overall, as part of the ITF 2025 Summit, the Ukrainian delegation has scheduled a number of bilateral meetings and talks with the ministers of foreign countries, primarily to develop support mechanisms for Ukraine’s transport sector.
