Pakistan extends airspace ban on Indian aircraft until June 24 amid ongoing tensions

Pakistan has prolonged its ban on Indian aircraft from entering its airspace until June 24, 2005, as stated in a newly issued Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) by the Pakistan Airports Authority.

The restriction applies to all aircraft that are registered, owned, operated, or leased by India — including military planes, effectively barring Indian airlines and operators from using Pakistani airspace.

This latest move is seen as a retaliatory measure following India’s decision to prohibit Pakistani flights after the Pehalgam attack.

Tensions between the two countries have remained elevated, with no signs of de-escalation. As both sides hold firm, the aviation sector continues to face significant disruptions.
