We desire peace, but will respond fiercely if India provokes: DG ISPR

DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry says India’s face is visible behind every terror activity in Pakistan  Asks Afghan elites not to become stooges of  India against Pakistan  Time has come for IIOJK to become part of Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD  -  Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has warned India that any repetition of past mistakes by her would be met with a befitting military response.

The DG ISPR made these remarks while talking to more than 2,500 students from various Khyber Pakhtunkhwa universities during a special session on Sunday.

Lt Gen Chaudhry said India thought it could attack and Pakistan wouldn’t respond, which was not possible, it was India’s misperception.

He said the whole nation witnessed how the people of Pakistan stood united behind their armed forces.

He said by the will of Allah, a wall of iron was formed, which destroyed all the evil strategies of India and Modi against Pakistan.  The DG ISPR said Pakistan defeated Indian narrative and made it clear that falsehood and truth cannot co-exist.

“Some people thought the army and the people were distant from each other — absolutely not,” he remarked. He said nation and the army have always stood together and will continue to do so in future.

Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry expressed strong resolve about the nation’s unity, strength, and commitment to peace while warning India against any future misadventures.

Recalling the details of Pakistan’s calculated response to Indian aggression, the DG ISPR said, our leadership decided to retaliate and Pakistan armed forces hit at 26 locations within India successfully.

He said Indians targeted AJK capital Muzaffarabad, where a seven-year-old Irtiza was martyred due to shelling on a brigade headquarters near Line of Control.

Pakistan army responded and destroyed their entire Indian military brigade headquarters.

The DG ISPR said on the 6th and 7th of May, Indian fighter jets from several Indian airbases took off and targeted Pakistani children — Pakistan army responded by destroying those airbases.

He expressed optimism that the time has come for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir to become part of Pakistan.

Talking about regional terrorism, the military spokesman said, “Behind every terrorist attack in Pakistan, India’s face is visible.

“Those who bomb mosques and slaughter innocents in Pakistan have no connection with Islam nor with the proud traditions of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These terrorists are followers of India,” the DG ISPR said.

Lt Gen Chaudhry, while talking about Afghanistan, urged Afghan brothers not to provide sanctuary to terrorists in their country and not to become stooges of India.

“Afghanistan is our brotherly neighbouring Islamic country. Pashtun Afghans are our brothers — the problem lies with the elite”, he said.

“India pays and buys off Afghanistan’s elite, uses them against Pakistan. We say to our Afghan brothers, do not give sanctuary to terrorists and don’t become instruments of India. You seek help from a country that dishonours the daughters of Kashmir”, the DG ISPR said.
