A robber was arrested following a shootout in Lodhran.
According to Crime Control Department, a team was stationed at Pull Bahesti on a link road when two unidentified suspects appeared on a motorcycle.
The police signaled them to stop, but instead of complying, the suspects opened fire.
Police retaliated and during the exchange, one of the suspects was found lying injured, reportedly hit by the gunfire of his accomplice.
The injured suspect was arrested and identified as Sajawal alias Brandy, who was reportedly involved in at least 27 cases of robbery, theft, and street crimes.
The SHO of CCD arrived at the scene with additional police personnel shortly after the incident.
A search operation was launched to arrest the fleeing suspect after cordoning off the area.
The district officer of CCD Lodhran stated that police were making efforts to ensure the protection of citizens.
