Aviators from the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate came to the aid of Kyiv residents to eliminate the consequences of Russia's June 10 terrorist attack.

The Ukrainian intelligence agency said this in a statement seen by Ukrinform.

"Last night, Russian occupation forces carried out another terrorist attack on the Ukrainian capital using Shahed drones. As a result of the enemy attack, a large-scale fire broke out in Kyiv's Obolonskyi district. The HUR head, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, ordered that HUR aircraft be immediately involved in eliminating the consequences of the attack," the agency's press service said.

Two Ka-32 multi-purpose helicopters joined this operation. In difficult conditions of smoke and high temperatures, the crews dropped up to 120 tonnes of water.

According to the commander of the HUR's aviation unit with the call sign "Maestro," after barbaric strikes on Kyiv, large fires were recorded at civilian infrastructure facilities.

After receiving this order from Budanov, HUR representatives contacted the State Emergency Service and coordinated actions made it possible to eliminate the large-scale fire in three hours.

"Thanks to the coordinated actions of firefighters and aviation support, we managed to save three industrial enterprises," the institution said.
