President Volodymyr Zelensky said everyone should work to ensure that the alliance between America and Europe does not collapse.

The head of state announced this in Vienna during a joint press conference with Austrian Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I believe we should all work to ensure that the alliance between America and Europe does not collapse. We are all interested in this. Then, I think, the continent will remain more or less safe, and it will not be easy for anyone, not just Russia, to threaten such an alliance. Therefore, I think, everyone is interested in this alliance. And we are very interested in this alliance, too, because our future is in the European Union," Zelensky said.

According to him, if difficulties arise between European countries and the United States in defense matters, then “Europe will have to make a leap in the developing its defense industry.”

“This is a lot of money and there is not much time for this,” the President emphasized.
