UK hits Russia with new round of sanctions

Ukrinform
On June 17, the United Kingdom added 10 individuals and 20 vessels to its Russia sanctions list.

This was stated on the UK government website, Ukrinform reports.

The British sanctions are aimed at four individuals, six entities and 20 vessels, including oil tankers, companies related to the maritime industry, and suppliers of goods, including electronics, to Russia.

It is noted that the sanctions are targeting individuals and entities that are or have been involved in destabilizing, undermining, or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of Ukraine.

The sanctions also target those who benefit from cooperation with or support the Russian government.

The UK has already imposed sanctions on more than 2,300 individuals, entities, and vessels as part of sanctions against Russia since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on Tuesday the UK, together with other allies of Ukraine in the Group of Seven, would announce new sanctions against Russia, designed to constrain Putin's war machine.
