Russian propagandists attempted to provoke the Ukrainian serviceman from the Azov Regiment, Vladyslav Dutchak, who had been taken prisoner, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

The relevant statement was made by the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Vladyslav Dutchak, using the call sign ‘Docent’, was among the Ukrainian military evacuated from Mariupol. He answered the provocative questions put by Russian propagandists confidently and unwaveringly. In particular, Dutchak denied the involvement of the Azov Regiment in mass burials in Mariupol.

The Russian propagandist also asked Dutchak about his attitude to those living in the so-called ‘L/DPR’, who they are to him.

“Ukrainians. Of course, there are those among them who are wrong in their views, but they are Ukrainians, same as us. Sooner or later, we will find common ground with them. If not, I hope my children and their children will find common ground,” Dutchak told.

A reminder that the Ukrainian military had been keeping the defense in Mariupol for more than 80 days. On May 16, 2022, the evacuation of Mariupol defenders from the Azovstal steelworks began.
