To encourage international tourists to explore Central and Southern Taiwan, the Taiwan Tourism Administration, in collaboration with the Taiwan High-Speed Rail Corporation, is launching the "Buy One, Get One Free for International Visitors riding the High-Speed Rail" promotion. Starting from December 1, 2023, at 12 p.m. Taiwan time, the promotion will be available globally. Foreign travelers holding short-term tourist visas can purchase a one-way high-speed rail ticket through designated channels (KKday, klook). If their destination is any high-speed rail station south of Taichung, including Taichung, Changhua, Yunlin, Chiayi, Tainan, or Zuoying, they'll receive a complimentary ticket for the second person traveling within the same route.
