The gala event of the CaseKey Business Case Competition 2024 sponsored by Byblos Bank Armenia took place from November 22-24 at the Dilijan Training and Research Center of the Armenian Central Bank. For the second year in a row, Byblos Bank Armenia served as the General Sponsor of the competition, which focuses on teaching practical knowledge. This year, the competition was held for the fourth time, with the continued support of the country’s Central Bank. At the beginning of the year, more than 200 students from Yerevan and regional universities were selected from nearly 600 applicants to complete an intensive six-month educational program, guided by both local and international mentors. Strategic business cases, invaluable experience, innovative approaches and more than 25 events are in store for the participants of CaseKey Business Case Competition 2024, whose title sponsor for the second year in a row is Byblos Bank Armenia. The competition officially opened on May 21. Over the next six months, participants will solve four business cases, spend active training days with their coaches, compete in an intellectual game, and have informal meetings with leading experts from various fields. This year, 263 talented young people and coaches have been given the opportunity to participate in the competition, forming 24 teams, including six from Armenia’s provinces. Ahead of the Students and Youth Day in Armenia, Yerevan State University students who received scholarships from Byblos Bank Armenia gathered in a casual setting to meet with the Bank's CEO, Hayk Stepanyan. The Bank and the university have a history of successful collaboration. One of the key projects implemented to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Bank in 2023 was the memorandum of cooperation signed with the university. During the 2023-2024 academic year, 10 YSU students were granted nominal scholarships of AMD 1 million each, while five others received tuition reimbursement. Christensen’s bestseller, "The Innovator's Dilemma", by Antares Publishing House, as part of the Bank’s commitment to support educational projects. "Why is success so difficult to sustain?" Christensen sought to answer this and many other questions in one of the most important books chronicling how innovation takes place. "The Innovator's Dilemma" weighs in on sustaining and disruptive technologies, explains why established companies begin to decline, and offers simple solutions aimed at meeting the expectations of dissatisfied or neglected customers. Byblos Bank Armenia is summing up 2023 and ringing in the New Year with an important donation. On behalf of all of the Bank’s employees, customers and partners, funds intended for holiday gifts will be transferred to the Soldier's Home charitable NGO to contribute to the social reintegration of disabled veterans, as well as to projects aimed at providing education, training and employment for the displaced residents of Artsakh. The donation will fund the participation of forcibly displaced Artsakh civilians in educational programs that match their preferences and potential, as well as provide advanced professional education at a later stage and help them find a job.
