    How to succeed in establishing a startup, make it a high-demand business, and contribute to tourism development in one’s home country? Sophik Karapetyan, who knows tourist attractions of Vayots Dzor region pretty well, believes that its potential isn’t yet fully discovered. As a high school student, she considered turning her hobby into a business project, but due to a lack of experience, she didn’t take actions. The program “Get Started”, being implemented in general partnership with Viva, has become the much-needed platform for her. The “Association of Armenian Online Media and Journalists” NGO and Mediamax included Sophik in the 12-member team, giving her the opportunity to learn from the experiences of big companies, understand potential obstacles and ways to move forward.   • “Dream big, start small”: Anna from Artsakh participates in “Get Started”

    How to start a business and contribute to the country’s economic development? Anna from Artsakh has become a participant in the educational program “Get Started” with a confidence to hear success stories from startup companies, learn from others’ experiences, and establish her own manufactory, producing Armenian-made glazes. Years ago, Anna studied pottery in the village of Zorak in Ararat region: little did she imagine that after a sudden change in life and displacement, she would have the opportunity to explore the startup ecosystem. She has become even more determined thanks to the “Get Started” educational program. She began to consider turning her hobby into a business project and scale up the production of ceramic brooches based on her own designs using glazes produced in-house.   • “Get Started”: An educational platform for young startuppers

    How can we make education more interesting, increase student involvement and support community development at the same time? Larisa decided to go to Yerevan from Vanadzor in order to launch a startup and find solutions to those issues. She enrolled in the “Get Started” educational program, run by Mediamax and the “Association of Armenian Online Media and Journalists” NGO in partnership with Viva-MTS. Larisa is confident that her aspirations will come true thanks to the foundational knowledge she gains from the new setting and the experience of prosperous startups.   The high school student decided to create themed quest rooms in Vanadzor, using interesting and attractive methods to ensure an interactive atmosphere and develop students’ intellectual potential. The educational program “Get Started” is launched on 21 December 2023, by the Armenian On-line Media and Journalists Association NGO and Mediamax, with Viva-MTS as the main partner. “Youth, in general, are the engine of progress. Their inventiveness, creativity, and desire to succeed allow them to make progress where it seems like everything has already been said and done. We, as organizations with years of experience, can only help to create and promote this environment. This is a crucial strategy for Viva-MTS.
