An unmanned aerial vehicle, most likely of Russian origin, was found in the Romanian municipality of Dumitra, just over 100 kilometers south of the Ukrainian border.
According to the city’s mayor, Oleksandr Yakovlev, the situation in Skadovsk is under control and there is electricity, gas and water supply. On March 9, Russian military vehicles entered the city and Russian troops reportedly seized all the computers from the city council.
The Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine reports that Russian and Belarusian military personnel involved in military operations on the territory of Ukraine are facing a simple choice – to fulfill a criminal order or to act in good conscience and refuse deployment.
Russian invaders have shelled residential areas in Mariupol, Donetsk Oblast, incessantly with artillery and rocket systems, according to mayor Vadym Boychenko. Russian forces have also prevented the evacuation of civilians from the city, who have been in dire conditions.
The social network has deleted tweets from the Russian Embassy in the U.K. which attempted to deny Russian involvement in the March 9 attack on a hospital in Mariupol. Twitter said it had removed the posts for denying violent incidents.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov has described Russia’s invasion as a “terrorist war,” stating that Russian troops had acted like “criminals.” According to Reznikov, Russian troops killed more Ukrainian civilians than soldiers.
Ukraine’s Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet stated that Russian forces had destroyed or damaged 280 educational institutions through bombing and shelling. The ministry has developed an interactive map to track damage to schools.
