Increased natural gas production in Azerbaijan can play an important role in the energy security of Hungary and Central Europe, but this requires infrastrucutral developments supported by the European Union, said Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó after meeting the Minister of the Economy of Azerbaijan, Mikayil Jabbarov on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Energy announded that Károly Mátrai, who will lead the company from 23 January, is tasked to further strengten the international presence of the state-owned energy group, turning it into a regional champion, which guarantees the energy security and successful energy transition of Hungary.

A hydrogen fuel cell bus is coming to Paks, Hungary, for 3 days, as a demonstration within the "CEE Hydrogen Bus Roadshow" project. The bus will be part of the city's public transport system during the pilot project, so anyone can have a ride.
