The European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) announced that it will increase electricity export capacity to Ukraine and Moldova this winter, raising the limit from 1,700 megawatts (MW) to 2,100 MW starting 1 December.

The government of Ukraine said it has approved two documents that will allow the country to attract an extra amount of funding of almost 62 million euros from the European Investment Bank. 

Ukraine state-owned oil and gas company Naftogaz said that commodity gas production has risen by 7 per cent year-over-year since the beginning of 2024, with 9.8 billion cubic metres produced so far. 

Ukraine and the IMF have discussed additional energy sector support as the US pledged $824 million for equipment and repairs.
