The pilot auction under the European Hydrogen Bank, for renewable hydrogen production in Europe, has attracted 132 bids from projects located in 17 European countries. The total support requested far exceeds the currently available budget of 800 million euros.

The project, undertaken by Geo Hőterm, was awarded 2.8 million euros in non-refundable European Union support. The investment will cut gas consumption by over 2.2 mcm a year.
