Retail sales in Romania grew 0.2% on the month in February and 0.6% when adjusted for seasonality and number of working days, as sales of non-food items grew 0.2%, food sales grew 2.8% and fuel sales dropped 5%, data from the country’s statistics institute showed Monday.

Private lending in Romania grew 0.7% in nominal terms and 0.3% in real terms in February compared with January, to RON285.543 billion, central bank data showed Tuesday.
