Baboia Solar Plant, a project company owned by Enery Elment GmbH, on July 21 got the technical greenlight to connect to the network for a 535 MW project in Giurgiu.
RTG Solar Energy, a project company owned by Nidik Holdings Limited of Cyprus, has obtained a technical approval to connect a 70.4 MW solar park of Giurgiu to the network.
General contractor Baupartner Construct, part of Baupartner Group held by Michael Dietrich (75% stake), finalized in 2021 the construction of Haier refrigerator factory and eMAG warehouse in Giurgiu.
A 45 MW solar park in Giurgiu completed in 2012 and held by Samsung is now up for sale, market sources say. The project company behind it, LJG Green Source Energy Alpha, was acquired by Samsung C&T Corporation in 2012. At the time, the solar park was the largest in Romania and had required an about EUR160 million investment.
Romanian engineering and technology firm Simtel Team, listed on the AeRo market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, announced it acquired a 837,866-sqm industrial land plot in Giurgiu, where it is set to develop a large photovoltaic farm.
