Volgens het akkoord worden door Hamas vastgehouden gijzelaars uitgewisseld tegen Palestijnse gevangenen in Israëlische gevangenissen. In ruil voor 50 Israëlische gegijzelden komen 150 Palestijnen vrij. Ook zal er een gevechtspauze van vijf dagen worden ingelost.
