Ukrainian defenders have repelled four attacks by Russian invaders on the east bank of the Dnipro River near Krynky, Kherson region, and three attacks in the Orikhiv sector, near Staromaiorske and Robotyne.
In the Southern Operational Zone, Ukrainian troops repelled two Russian assaults in the Orikhiv direction and five on the eastern bank of the Dnipro, near the settlement of Krynky.
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) experts suggest that the Kremlin likely prematurely claimed the Russian seizure of Krynky to reinforce its desired informational effects ahead of the March 2024 presidential election.
In southern Ukraine, fighting has continued around the village of Krynky where Ukrainian marines maintain a bridgehead on the east bank of the Dnipro River, and the situation there is extremely unpleasant for Russian troops.
