    Two hundred personnel from the Federal Constabulary’s Special Diplomatic Protection Unit will receive training in Saudi Arabia, the interior ministry said on Thursday. The decision was taken during a meeting between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his Saudi counterpart Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Saud in Mina, Saudi Arabia. In a social media post on X, the ministry said both ministers exchanged Eidul Azha greetings, while the Saudi minister congratulated Naqvi on performing Haj. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on bilateral relations between the two countries and internal security matters, the ministry said. “It was decided that 200 personnel of the Federal Constabulary Special Diplomatic Protection Unit will receive training in Saudi Arabia,” it stated. The two ministers also discussed the recent situation in the region, with the Saudi minister praising Pakistan’s positive role in reducing tensions, the ministry said.

    LAKKI MARWAT: Three Federal Constabulary men were martyred in a terrorist attack in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Karak district on Monday, according to officials. In a statement, Karak police spokesperson Shaukat Khan said terrorists initially carried out a quadcopter attack on the Federal Constabulary fort in the Dargah Shaheedan area. The spokesperson said that during the initial attack, the terrorists detonated four rounds of explosives, causing injuries to four Federal Constabulary personnel. However, the Federal Constabulary personnel retaliated. The exchange of fire went on for a long time, he added. He said that Rescue 1122 teams arrived at the site of the incident to rush the injured to a nearby hospital; however, the ambulances were ambushed by the terrorists near Ghole Banda Dam, leading to the martyrdom of three Federal Constabulary personnel.     Six soldiers were martyred and five terrorists were killed as security forces thwarted an attack on the Federal Constabulary (FC) Headquarters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district on Tuesday, according to the military’s media wing. A statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued tonight said: “During early hours of September 2, 2025, in a cowardly terrorist attack, khwarij belonging to Indian proxy Fitna-al-Khwarij targeted FC Headquarters in Bannu district. “The Indian sponsored kharjis attempted to breach the perimeter security, however, their nefarious designs were swiftly foiled by the vigilant and resolute response by own troops.
