    SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: Three girls were killed and four other members of the same family were injured in a suspected quadcopter attack in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lower South Waziristan early on Sunday morning, according to local sources. Munitions were suspected to have been dropped by a quadcopter drone on the house in the Nargasi area of Birmal tehsil, the sources said. The incident reportedly occurred at the residence of a member of the Dinor subtribe. The deceased were identified as three girls aged between six and 15, while the injured include one woman and three young boys who sustained varying degrees of injuries. Residents rushed to the scene immediately after the incident and launched rescue efforts before shifting the injured to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Wana for medical treatment.     LOWER SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: Unidentified miscreants blew up a government girls’ primary school using explosive material late on Tuesday night in Sara Ghowara area of Birmal tehsil, police said. According to District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Tahir Shah, the school building was destroyed in the explosion, which occurred late at night. DPO Shah told Dawn that police had registered an initial report in the daily log and launched an investigation into the incident. No individual or group has claimed responsibility so far. According to local police and residents, attacks targeting educational institutions have increased in Lower South Waziristan in recent months. Unidentified attackers had earlier targeted two schools in Birmal tehsil in February and March.     SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: The district administrations of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Upper South Waziristan and Lower South Waziristan imposed Section 144 in several areas on Monday due to security concerns and the movement of security forces, officials said. According to separate notifications issued by the deputy commissioners of both districts, restrictions have been enforced on public movement in designated areas, while several key roads have been temporarily closed to ensure the smooth movement of security personnel and logistical convoys. Lower South Waziristan Deputy Commissioner Musarrat Zaman said Section 144 would remain in force from 6am to 6pm on Monday. The restrictions were imposed as a precautionary measure in view of prevailing security concerns in and around Wana and adjoining localities.     LOWER SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: Six people, including a police constable and station house officer (SHO), were injured when an argument over shop ownership and financial dealings led to an exchange of fire between the rival groups at the Toi Khullah market in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lower South Waziristan on Thursday. Wana Circle Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Asghar Ali Shah told Dawn that the incident took place at around 9am when “a disagreement between two groups over monetary transactions and shop ownership turned into a heated argument”. “The situation quickly escalated into a physical altercation and subsequently into an armed confrontation,” he said.
