Cross-border payment infrastructure provider Tazapay said it closed an extension to its Series B funding round led by Circle Ventures, bringing the total raised to $36 million. The round included participation from Coinbase Ventures, CMT Digital, Peak XV Partners and Ripple. Tazapay said on Thursday that the funding will be used to • expand its digital settlement technology for cross-border payments, secure additional licenses, expand across Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and the Americas, and build infrastructure for so-called “agentic payments.” Tazapay said it serves over 1,000 enterprises and fintechs across 30 countries. Startale Group said on Wednesday that SBI Group had invested $50 million to complete the company’s Series A, as the Japanese blockchain company develops tokenized securities infrastructure, stablecoins and consumer-facing onchain products. In a press release shared with Cointelegraph, Startale said it closed a $50 million investment from SBI to scale products, including its Strium blockchain for tokenized securities, its Japanese yen and US dollar stablecoins, and a consumer-facing application that onboards users to onchain services. The deal would deepen institutional backing for Startale’s push into onchain financial infrastructure in Japan, where the company and SBI have already announced projects tied to tokenized securities, stablecoins and digital asset settlement. Digital asset infrastructure provider Talos raised a $45 million extension to its Series B funding round, valuing the company at about $1.5 billion. The extension included new strategic investors such as Robinhood Markets, Sony Innovation Fund, IMC, QCP and Karatage, alongside returning investors a16z crypto, BNY and Fidelity Investments, according to the company. "We extended our Series B round to accommodate interest from strategic partners,” said Talos CEO Anton Katz. Stablecoin payments company RedotPay has raised $107 million in a Series B round, bringing its total funding in 2025 to $194 million. The round was led by Goodwater Capital, with participation from Pantera Capital, Blockchain Capital and Circle Ventures, alongside continued backing from existing investors, including HSG. Founded in Hong Kong, RedotPay offers stablecoin-based payment products, including a card that enables users to spend digital assets, stablecoin-powered payout rails for cross-border transfers, and services that allow users to access and hold stablecoins through multicurrency accounts and a peer-to-peer marketplace.
