Armeconombank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have signed an AMD loan agreement equivalent to 10m USD within the framework of the 33rd EBRD Business Forum. This collaboration is aimed also at the balanced development of the country as a part of the funds will be allocated to the financing of businesses in the regions of Armenia. This agreement is already the 15th since 2000 and brings the total amount of the funds provided by this particular partner to USD 83.0m.

Ahead of the Students and Youth Day in Armenia, Yerevan State University students who received scholarships from Byblos Bank Armenia gathered in a casual setting to meet with the Bank's CEO, Hayk Stepanyan. The Bank and the university have a history of successful collaboration. One of the key projects implemented to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Bank in 2023 was the memorandum of cooperation signed with the university. During the 2023-2024 academic year, 10 YSU students were granted nominal scholarships of AMD 1 million each, while five others received tuition reimbursement. Heavy rains which caused widespread flooding in the southern Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul have left hundreds of towns under water, BBC reports. At least 85 people died in the floods and about 150,000 have been displaced from their homes, officials said. Some towns remain isolated and hopes of finding the more than 130 people who are still missing are dwindling.
